When In Old Age

This is an expression of life compiled poetically. Children often have many doubts and questions to ask and we all have been through similar situations. Even as an adult, never underestimate the power of asking questions and trying to figure out what ultimately soothes and satisfies the mind.

Looking around the crowd fills me up with anxiety

Oh, the wish to blossom more and more…

As I sit and observe

Murmurs my soul to me

Seek happiness and strength in this world to be

When you’re old and gray and full of sleep

Will you still be struggling to take this life’s leap

The magic of love and happy faces around to seek

And the warmth of touch and wrinkled smiles and a peace so deep

Looking above, the infinite sky

Scream my hopes to make me fly

I wonder how small my fears are..

But not just milestones I aim to achieve

Love and inner peace for me to weave

Surely papers and files will mark my heights

When in old age, it’s only the pilgrimed soul I want to light

—–Have hope.Keep faith—–
